Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple

BhogaNandeeshwara Temple is situated at the base of Nandi Hills, the popular destination around 60 Km from Bangalore. The main deity is Lord Shiva and is represented in three forms: Arunachaleshwara and Bhoga Nandeeshwara on either side and as Uma Maheswara in the centre. Each shrine has a Nandi mantapa. There are two small Devi Shrines within the compound.

Kalyana Mantapa in front of the UmaMaheshwara shrine has intricately carved sand stone pillars.
The roof top in front of the Bhoga Nandeeswara shrine has the Ashtadikpalakas carved.

Surrounded by hills, the place is usually filled with tranquility (except on public holidays and during Shivaratri, where in it is abuzz with devotees).
