Lepakshi, a small village in Andhra Pradesh state, is known for its archaeological wonders.

Following painting is inspired from one such wonder.

The Serpent in the painting is believed to be carved from a single stone.

Companion

Have tried water colors after a very long gap. It felt like exploring a new domain altogether. Used a combination of some water color pencils as well. Gained some confidence with the brush as the process went on.

Have come across this reference photo while browsing and since then had the itch to put it on the paper/canvas. After much procrastination, here's the output: water colors on handmade paper.
